Born at Teeswater, Bruce County, ON, 1883.

Moved to Manitoba where, after completing his academic studies, he began teaching.

Moved west to Saskatchewan, articled as a student of Law and established a legal practice at Melville, SK. Called to the Bar in Saskatchewan, 1921.

Married Miss Clara Brown of Saskatoon, October 4, 1916. One daughter.

Initiated into Melville Lodge No. 62, GRS, 1924. WM 1931.

GM 1947–48.

Died at Regina, SK, Saturday, November 21, 1967 at 84 years of age and buried with Masonic Rites, November 25, 1967.
