Born at Regina, SK, June 8, 1909.

Received his elementary and high school education there and at Kincaid, SK. Attended Normal School in Moose Jaw, SK, the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK and New York University, receiving BA, LLB, LLM, and JSD Degrees.

Called to the Bar of Saskatchewan, September 1, 1939.

Created Queen’s Council, January 1, 1957.

Served with RCN 1939–45, with rank of Lt Cmdr in charge HMCS Longueuil in the North Atlantic in 1939.

Married Winnifred Agnes Elaine Scott of Long Branch, ON. Two sons; two daughters.

Initiated into Mossbank Lodge No. 129, GRS, 1931. WM 1967–68.

GM 1971–72.

Died in 1995 at 86 years of age.
