Donald Alexander Orr

Grand Master, 1988–89

Born December 26, 1921 at Zealandia, SK.

Received his early education near Zealandia and completed the higher grades in Zealandia.

Joined the 67th AA Battery, RCA and served in the European Theater during WWII.

Upon discharge, together with a partner, purchased a store in Sovereign, SK. Entered employment with Federated Co-operatives in 1950, serving in management and advisory capacities for 33 years, retiring in 1983.

Married Lois Turner of Sovereign in 1951. Two sons, Jim and Terry, both Past Masters of Elstow Lodge No. 147, GRS, Saskatoon; one daughter, Donna.

Initiated into Zealandia Lodge No. 85, GRS, 1949. Affiliated with Kinistino Lodge No. 1, GRS, Prince Albert, and then with Elstow Lodge No. 146, GRS. WM 1977. Life Member 1981. Member of most concordant Masonic bodies.

GM 1988–89.

Died on February 7, 2005 in Saskatoon at 83 years of age.
