Grand Master, 1976–77

Born at Walla Walla, WA (USA), September, 1905.

Moved to Olds, AB in 1906 and to Hardisty, AB in 1907.

After completing high school at Strathcona Collegiate, now part of Edmonton, worked in a bank for a year.

Began a career with the CPR in 1930 and was engaged in various jobs with the railway.

Enlisted with the RCAF as an engineer in 1941, then resumed work with the CPR in 1945, first in Regina and then in Sutherland, SK, retiring in 1969 as a locomotive engineer.

Married Gertrude Ann Smith of Dauphin, MB in 1945. Two daughters.

Initiated into Twin City Lodge No. 89, GRS, Sutherland, January 19, 1953. WM 1965.

DDGM, District No. 5, GLS, 1971. GM 1976–77.

Died at Penticton, B.C. on Tuesday, December 23, 1980 at 75 years of age.
