Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, October 12, 1869.

Initiated into Tyrian Lodge No. 182, Belfast, 1891-92.

Emigrated to Canada and lived in Toronto, ON, 1892-94.

Enrolled in Manitoba College in training for the ministry, Presbyterian Church of Canada.

Ordained 1900 at Grenfell, SK.

Retired from ministry, 1914.

Grand Secretary, 1914–1938. Elected Grand Junior Warden (GJW) on formation of the GLS, 1906.

He was a member of Qu’Appelle Lodge No. 6. Charter member of Broderick Lodge No. 113 and Emulation Lodge No. 186, GRS. GM 1910–11.

Died January 2, 1960, at 90 years of age.
