Born at Southampton, Bruce County, ON, March 16, 1891.
After completing elementary and secondary education, moved to Regina, SK in 1909 and articled as a student at Law.
Admitted to the Bar in 1915 and entered active practice at Kerrobert, SK.
Created King’s Counsel in 1932. MLA 1929–1934.
Lieutenant Governor, Province of Saskatchewan, 1963–70.
Married Jane Mitchell of Francis, SK, 1915. One son; four daughters.
Initiated into Kerrobert Lodge No. 90, GRS, 1915. WM 1919.
DDGM, District No. 13, GLS, 1944–45. GM 1953–54.
Died on July 25, 1974 at 83 years of age and buried with Masonic Rites, July 30, 1974.
