Born in Ayr, Scotland, in 1876 and emigrated to Canada in 1888.

Lived for a time at Estevan, SK, then moved to Prince Albert, SK in 1882.

Employed in the hardware business and then at the Land Titles Office. In layer years worked as a steward at the Prince Albert Sanatorium from which he superannuated in 1942.

Married Mrs. Elizabeth McConnell.

Initiated into Kinistino Lodge No. 16, GRM (now No. 1, GRS), May 4, 1900, Passed June 1, 1900, and Raised September 7, 1900. WM 1908 & 1916.

DDGM, District No. 1, GLS, 1911-12. GM 1918-19.

Died at Prince Albert, Sunday, November 20, 1949, at 73 years of age.
