Born at Craik, SK, July 20, 1953.

Received his Junior and Senior Certificates in Local Government Administration from the University of Saskatchewan (Regina Campus), October 16, 1977 and October 16, 1982, respectively.

Employed with the Rural Municipality of Val Marie, SK, No. 17, 1982–86 and Director of Division No. 3 Rural Municipal Administrators’ Association. Involved in farm operation at Craik and in community and political activities at Craik and at Val Marie.

Initiated into Glenedyth Lodge No. 188, GRS, July 4, 1985. WM 1988. Member of several concordant Masonic bodies.
