d’Arcy Harry Morrice

Grand Master, 1998–99

Born December 13, 1928 and raised and educated in Medicine Hat, AB.

Served with South Alberta Regiment, 2nd Battalion, 1944–48 and then with the RCMP, April 1950 to January 1975. Served in 22 communities in British Columbia, Yukon Territory, and Saskatchewan.

While stationed in Whitehorse, YT met, and later married, Velma Isabel Britton on December 8, 1955 at Medicine Hat. Three sons, d’Arcy, Greg, and Terry.

Served as coroner for Swift Current and District and presided as Justice of the Peace and marriage commissioner.

Initiated into Prince Rubert Lodge No. 35, GRS, March 1958. Was a member of Imperial and Simpson Lodges, GRS. WM of Simpson Lodge No. 121, GRS, 1962–63. Active in Weyburn and Maple Creek Lodges. Affiliated with Swift Current Lodge No. 26, GTS.

Died on June 2, 2005 at the age of 77.
