John (Jack) Peter Brooks

Grand Master, 1993–94

Born at Dafoe, SK, July 25, 1925, and completed his elementary and secondary education in a rural school south of Dafoe.

Served with the Canadian Army, 1944–46, where he trained as a paratrooper with the Airbourne Division.

After discharge employed with CNR as a Locomotive Fireman at Saskatoon, SK. Became involved with the automotive retail business in Wynyard, SK in 1955 and spent the next 35 years in that field of work.

Involved in many areas of community work.

Married Kay Lasko of Kelliher, SK in 1940. Four daughters, Patricia, Joyce, Jacqueline, and Valerie (she died in 1961).

Initiated into Elfros Lodge No. 145, GRS in 1960 and is a Past Master of that Lodge. WM of Wynyard Lodge No. 66, GRS. Member of many Masonic concordant bodies.

DDGM, District No. 15, GLS, 1969–70. GM 1993–94.

Died at Wynyard, November 11, 2005 at 80 years of age.
