Born June 8, 1877 at Lindsay, ON.

Educated at Midland and at Lindsay, ON.

Moved to Kenora, ON, 1892.

Employed by the CPR. Entered the grocery wholesale business in 1904 and sent to Regina, SK in 1907 as manager. In 1931 accepted employment with the Provincial Government as Chairman & General Manager, Board of Management.

Mayor of Regina 1923-24.

Married Helen Dalrymple Pope, February 15, 1909. Two sons.

Initiated into Lake of the Wood Lodge No. 445, GRC, Kenora, ON. Affiliated with Assiniboia Lodge No. 49, GRS, April 21, 1911. Charter member of Emulation Lodge No. 186, GRS. WM 1928.

GM 1938-39.

Died at Regina, Tuesday, December 30, 1941 at 64 years of age.
