William John Smith

Grand Master, 1926–27

Born July 28, 1875, at Parkenham, ON.

Educated at Walton in Huron County, ON.

Employed with HBC at Nipigon, ON, 1899, then in 1900 began work as general merchant, first in Sintaluta, SK and later in Radisson, SK area.

Appointed first Sheriff of the Judicial District of Wynyard, SK in 1914.

Married Mabel I. Jackson of Virden, MB in 1903. Two sons; one daughter.

Initiated into Sintaluta Lodge, GRM, in 1902. Later WM in Wynyard and then Shaunavon Lodge.

DDGM, District No. 19, GLS. GM 1926–27.

Died August 12, 1962, in Regina at 87 years of age and buried with Masonic Rites, August 14, 1962.
