William Melville Martin

Grand Master, 1927–28

Born at Norwich, ON, August 23, 1876.

Educated at Exeter and pursued study of Law at Osgoode Hall, Toronto.

MLA for Regina, 1908–16, resigning to become Premier of Saskatchewan until 1922.

Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal for the Province of Saskatchewan, 1941–1962.

Married Violet Florence Thomson in 1906. Three sons.

Initiated into Harriston Lodge No. 262, GRC, Harriston, ON, in 1902 and affiliated with Wascana Lodge No. 23, GRM (now No. 2, GRS) in 1904. WM of Wascana Lodge No. 2, GRS, 1906.

GM 1927–28.

Died June 22, 1970, at 93 years of age.
